Dean Daniel Berkowitz

Associate Dean Daniel Berkowitz joined the Graduate College in September 2007 as the Associate Dean for Student Services and Administrative Affairs.

Berkowitz is also a professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, where he has served as Associate Director of Graduate Studies and Research.

His responsibilities in the Graduate College include:

• Graduate College fellowships and nationally competitive fellowships that bring top scholars to the University of Iowa's 100+ graduate programs

• Graduate College issues related to international students and international programs

• Graduate College commencement

• Graduate College representative to Graduate Student Senate and oversight of GSS travel committee

• Graduate College representative on negotiation team with graduate student union
