An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly
motivated scientist. The successful candidate is expected to join in our
expanding research program focusing on the study of Ca2+ regulation and
localized Ca2+ signaling in cardiovascular system at single cell or
explanted tissue level, using state of the art techniques, such as
patch-clamp electrophysiology and confocal microscopy of Ca2+ imaging,
in combination with basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques.
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree (or
equivalent). Experience in patch-clamp electrophysiology is desired.
The University of Iowa is located in Iowa City, a mid-sized college town
with high living standards and an inexpensive cost of living relative to
