Position title: Postdoctoral Research Scholar
Position Description: The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeing candidates to study retinal image analysis. Successful candidates will be expected to develop algorithms for segmentation of stereo color and optical coherence tomography images of the macula, optic nerve, and peripheral retina, as well as abnormalities in these structures, and to actively contribute to research into computer diagnosis of retinal and optic nerve diseases as well as quantitative traits in patients with these diseases, using image analysis and image segmentation of volumetric and stereo images. Salary is based on the current NIH scale for postdoctorates and will be commensurate with experience. Candidates must have a recent PhD or MD with a strong background in biomedical image analysis, a publication record in at least one of the above areas, as well as fluency in English. Previous experience in collaborating with clinicians on image analysis is desirable.
