Research Description	- Analyze pilot experimental data - Gather literature on morality and social identity - Prepare for larger experiment in Fall, 08
Undergraduate Role	Elementary statistical analysis, literature review and aid in development of social psychology experiment.
Minimum Qualifications	Minimum familiarity with statistical program and basic familiarity with social psychology.

Research Description	To explain social relationships in ways that lead to improvements in the way people live and work together.
Undergraduate Role	Data collection, coding and analysis. Design and pilot new research and write up results.

Networked Expertise: Social and Organizational Ties Among Notable Policy Experts

Principal Investigator	Anthony Paik, Assistant Professor Department(s): Sociology College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Research Description	Identify a sample of notable experts involved in national policymaking; Examine their individual characteristics, professional and organizational ties, and ideological constituencies; Investigate patterns in their social networks; and Test what factors (i.e., personal biography, ideology, professional affiliation, organizational ties, social networks) predict patterns of participation across a set of policy events.
Undergraduate Role	Data collection, coding and analysis. Summarizing findings and activities in research reports and logs.
Minimum Qualifications	Familiarity with statistics. Interest in social network analysis.
