String Theory, QCD and Gravity

Research Description Several mathematical problems in string theory that are related to gravitation, cosmology and spontaneous symmetry breaking are being examined. Novel approaches to the issue of dark matter and dark energy along with numerical predictions in QCD are the objective.
Undergraduate Role The student will perform both analytic and numerical calculations for the problem assigned. The student will also actively participate in daily discussions of the projects.
Minimum Qualifications Must be at least at the junior level of a math/physics major.
