The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology provides students with broad training through university-wide research opportunities in laboratories across the campus. Program faculty are drawn from anatomy and cell biology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, internal medicine, microbiology, molecular physiology and biophysics, neurology, ophthalmology, orthodontics, pathology, pediatrics, pharmacology, and radiation oncology.
A crucial aspect of the Ph.D. degree is the opportunity to participate in stimulating research. The diversity of research interests within the program permits students to identify areas that match their special interests. Students entering the program are encouraged to begin their research as soon as possible.
