2009 Call for Nominations

This year, eligible departments are in the Biological/Life Sciences and Humanities/Fine Arts. See the link below for a list of eligible departments. The call for nominations will be sent to departments in early fall 2009. The nomination period is now closed.

The Outstanding Mentor Award recognizes exemplary mentoring of doctoral students by members of the UI graduate faculty. 

To be eligible, a mentor must have been a member of the UI graduate faculty for at least 5 years and have mentored at least 3 students who have completed doctoral degrees at Iowa.

The 2008 Mentor Award recipients were:
