Putting the Pieces Together: Searching for Funding in the Physical & Biomedical Sciences
There are many external funding opportunities for graduate education that can support research, dissertation writing, travel, and more. Yet finding the right external funding at the right time can seem a daunting process. Students often wait too long to look for their opportunities.
This workshop will offer you practical training, information, and follow-up resources to help you piece together the external funding puzzle. Topics will include:
- types of funding for graduate education
- academic and funding time lines
- time management for funding searches
- search terms that work
- hands-on instruction on funding databases
- information about free services and resources
