NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Workshop
Attend this hands-on workshop to learn about this fellowship program, which supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees.
NSF Graduate Research Fellowships provide:
- Three years of support
- $30,000 annual stipend
- $10,500 cost-of-education allowance
- International research and professional development activities
- A presentation from former GRFP reviewer/advisor Dr. John Logsdon
- A hands-on workshop to improve your GRFP essay writing skills
- Q & A session with current recipients and UI faculty who have served as GRFP reviewers and advisers
- Handouts to assist you with your GRFP application
To attend, you must:
- Be a US citizen, US national, or permanent resident alien
- Be in a research-focused Master's or Ph.D. program in an eligible field
- Be a Junior/Senior undergraduate interested in graduate school
- Have completed no more than twelve months* of full-time graduate study
* Please note "no more than twelve months" applies to your entire post-baccalaureate career. If you have completed less than twelve months of your Ph.D. but have previously completed a Master's degree, you are considered to have more than twelve months of graduate study.
