Graduate Assistantship Available for 2008-2009
One quarter-time (1/4), 10-hours a week, 9-month departmental program assessment graduate assistant position available for the 2008-09 academic year.
The University of Iowa is working to create a comprehensive Living-Learning Community Program to enhance the academic experience of University of Iowa students. This position will work closely with University Housing to develop desired learning outcomes and measurements for the living-learning communities and academic initiatives in the residence halls. The position entails assessing Living-Learning Communities, assessing multiple aspects of residential learning experiences, and developing on-going assessment tools for University Housing. Some work hours may be conducted outside of 8-5 office hours as needed. This position falls under COGS regulations and benefits.

Required Qualifications:
· Candidate must have be in a doctoral degree program at the University of Iowa
· Candidate must have completed graduate-level training and course(s) in assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with University Housing/Residence Life
· Previous experience with developing learning outcomes and assessment tools
· Candidate must be able to work independently
· A record of previous published submissions to a refereed journal is preferred
