Automated Information System
Calling 335-3244 will connect you with RING. This 24-hour UI service offers a choice of over 700 recorded messages that provide information on a number of different topics, ranging from health issues to local entertainment schedules. You can hear tips on finding housing, dealing with test anxiety, or using local services. A brochure listing the topics and their request codes can be obtained from the Campus Information Center at the IMU (335-3055). You can also call the CIC and ask for the number of the tape you wish to hear.

The Western Union Telegraph company provides telegraph and cable services. There are Western Union Offices in many establishments throughout Iowa City including the Union Bus Depot (404 E.
