High School Student Engagement

Research Description The project will investigate the academic engagement of high school students. 
Undergraduate Role Participate in research team, including reading research articles, entering data, analyzing data, and writing for publication. 
Minimum Qualifications Willingness to learn some basic statistical computer programming.  A social science or education background would be helpful but is not strictly required.

Qualitative Study of Personal/Social Skill Acquisition and Retention in Basis Schools

Research Description This study is a longitudinal study involving interviews of 6-12 students enrolled in a Basic School.  The objective is to examine the students' experiences of acquiring and retaining personal/social skills surrounding 7 core virtues. 
Undergraduate Role The student will be involved in data transcription, data coding, data analysis, emergent theory conceptual diagramming, and report writing. 
Minimum Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PC formats.  Personal initiative and adherence to ethical research practices.
