Center for Teaching
The mission of the Center for Teaching is to promote and to support efforts to enhance instruction at The University of Iowa. All services of the Center are provided at no or minimal cost and on a voluntary and confidential basis to members of the University community.
Services of the Center for Teaching include:
- An e-mail discussion group for the discussion of teaching issues on campus
- Teaching circles
- Workshops
- Classroom observation (with or without video taping)
- Interviews of students for instructional improvement
- Discussion mapping
- Assistance with literature reviews
- Resource identification
- Proposal development
- The annual Instructional Support Fair
- The T.A. Handbook
- Departmental curriculum consultation
