NSF AGEP multi-institutional collaborative grant
The Graduate College and Office of Postdoctoral Scholars is a member of a collaborative NSF AGEP grant held by the CIC (Big 10 Universities and the University of Chicago). A major goal of the CIC AGEP Professoriate Advancement Initiative (PAI) is to diversify our STEM faculty hiring by developing high quality mentoring networks across our campuses and among our under-represented minority postdocs to enhance their transition to faculty positions across CIC institutions.
Postdoctoral scholars wishing to participate in CIC PAI @ Iowa must meet the following NSF-required criteria:
- Working as a postdoctoral scholar in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline at a CIC PAI participating university
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be an African American, Hispanic American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander
All eligible postdocs must hold a 50% or greater appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar or Fellow. For more details – https://www.cic.net/projects/pai/introduction.
